South Carolina Palm Tree and Crescent Moon Metal Ring

Our palm ring is an homage to South Carolina, our home state. Each of our pieces is cut from US-recycled carbon steel. Finished in a copper patina with a clear powder coat, the metal ring could be displayed on a back porch,  in a wreath, or on a wall or fence. We love the classy look of our palmetto and crescent moon! This ring has been a very popular piece in our metal ring collection and makes a great South Carolina palmetto tree gift.

Our process starts with the design. After we have the look we love, the metal work is ready to be cut. We clean the dross off with two different grinders to make sure the edges are clean. Using a copper sulfate mixture, we dip the piece for a few seconds which causes a reaction to the steel. Due to the recycled composition of the metal, the copper attaches differently to each ring. Then we apply a clear powder coat to the ring and bake it in an oven at 400 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
